Watch the video mashup above or download the 10MB MP3. Earworm says:

"This year in the charts, we’ve gone all soft. The songs are sexy and defiant, less macho than in previous years. Accordingly, I’ve selected Coldplay as the instrumental track, giving the whole year a sort of symphonic feel. This edit is called “Viva La Pop”, and I hope to post more edits soon."

Songs in the mashup include:

* Flo Rida Featuring T-Pain - Low
* Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
* Alicia Keys - No One
* Lil Wayne Featuring Static Major - Lollipop
* Timbaland Featuring OneRepublic - Apologize
* Jordin Sparks Duet With Chris Brown - No Air

Seattle's December Freezeee... Near yet so far...

SPOTTED - Snow and Mother Nature putting their difference aside and joining forces... with bitches like them, who needs an army...

Seattle's hateful wrath of Snow... typical Thursday morning, did the routine of waking up (about 3 snooze hits), turn on Q13 News, take a shower and off to work... change of daily routine, why... SNOW is falling and it doesn't look like it's stopping... so Plan B is in effect, take the car, go slow since the office is on a 2 hour delay and pick up Aimee. Simple plan right? Well everything went according to plan, I didn't know that Aimee and I were about to have a lil adventure before physically in the office today....
This is Aimee and me...

Here it goes:
  • Slippery when... iced (8:29 a.m.)

6th & Marion, the last hill before getting in the garage. Took us 15-20 mins to get up from this, with my car working overtime and using everything it got to get us through it.
VICTORIOUS bitchess 1 - 0

  • Kill Joy (aka K.J.) (8:40 a.m.)
After the strenuous up hill battle, the smell of burnt rubber and the feeling of
happiness and content... there's a thing called... K.J. (Kill Joy). To get in the garage and park
we go down 6th and Columbia (hate one way streets) but we did not know it was closed...
See the jack knifed 18 wheeler...
DEFEAT: 1 - 1

  • Traffic (Start: 8:49 a.m. - End: 9:21 a.m.)
After tasting defeat... the dreaded henchmen of Mother Nature... H20, Slush & Artic Freeze that can combine and turns into Mr. H-Ice. Thus, turning all roads into an Ice Escapade and causes major traffic... argh!
I-LOSE: 1 -2

And to make it a little bit more amusing and fun, here's a few clips of an Un-Synchronized ice skater... (Video below) From Germany- We got EClass Mercedes and from Japan- SUv Infinity.

And making their debut in Couples Division, here's JettaJetta from Germany (Video below)

NOT QUALIFIED: 1 - 3
  • Swipe... Denied (9:45 a.m.)
After the terrible events that Aimee and I just went through, it was snowing harder and sticking faster than a fruit fly. More and more signs were being put up, and the more signs up, the further we veer off to our destination...
SWIPE AGAIN: 1 - 4
  • The Agony of Defeat
Ended up parking between Washington and Yesler. Aimee and I got our stuff and hiked to work... Though late or not... Aimee and I made it in... (Arrived 10:05 a.m.)

*******

"The stronger men will be in front, the jaded
ones will fall behind, and on this plan only one-tenth
of your army will reach its destination."

First Time Movie Review: “For the First Time” by Star Cinema

This makes the KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez film the first EVER Filipino movie I watched during its first day of release, and the first movie I will review here at Evilwoobie. And I will do it without leaking too many movie plot “spoilers”.
Make no mistake of it, I LOVE this movie… the cinematography, the concept, the tandem and the outfits! LOVE Junkies in the Philippines should watch this movie because….

1. It’s NOT Asianuvela-inspired
“For the First Time” is a much-needed break from all the nauseating Asianuvela-type television shows that are being pushed by all the networks. Nauseating in the sense that there are so many… and so extensively drawn out.
Richard Gutierrez has so far been paired with Angel Locsin and Heart Evangelista. Watching this movie told me exactly why his team ups with these petite ladies did not work. He isn’t a physical match to either of them.
2. KC and Richard’s on-screen chemistry ROCKS
They complement each other. Both can hold their own in terms of physique and personality. Evilwoobie.com rates this love team a 10… They are M.F.E.O. (made for each other) !!!
Richard is the veteran and it shows. He gives the otherwise two-dimensional personality of his character life by showing believable “cockiness”, arrogance and emotional distance. HIs action-packed roles in the past are dim in comparison to his acting here.
KC’s acting. Are you ready for this?….. KC’s acting in For the First Time is less than par. However, we MUST watch how she tries.
We can forgive her though, because she (as KC, not as her character, Sophia) is adorable, funny and sexy. Now if ONLY she translated all THAT in her dismally two-dimensional character. She is somewhat awkward as Sophia, and her tears are touching to people who only think of “Oh look ‘KC’ is crying!!!”.
We expected the Megastar’s and Gabby Concepcion’s daughter to be acting school-trained and every bit as dazzling as her mom and her biological dad in their first movies.. but, not yet.
3. MUST’s
Before they even release “For the Second Time”, the sequel to this movie (and there will be for sure!) …
* KC must invest on her acting
* Star Cinema must set a budget to BUY bobby pins for KC’s hair (which keeps on blocking her face in the movie)
* Richard could use an equally magnetic competitor (i.e. their love triangle-mate).
Best Break Up Line from the movie:“You are the Perfect Girl, just not the right one for me” Ouch... ditto that...xoxo...

ADrive’s Fee-Based Online Storage Service Worth a Look

For some time now, it’s been trouncing the other free online file storage services in terms of sheer capacity offered at no cost. It continues to offer 50GB of storage for free, while many other free services max out at 1GB to 5GB (even GMail gives you more than that). Now, ADrive is offering a low-cost paid service that adds features to the free service, with new features being slipstreamed in.

For a few reasons, many web workers may want to check the fee-based service out. ADrive is offering a service for $6.95 a month that can erase some of the headaches you commonly run into with free online storage plans. In particular, you can upload files of up to 2GB. That’s well beyond the 50MB limits you see at a lot of the storage services. At 2GB upload file sizes, ADrive is even a feasible storage solution for video files that aren’t too large in size. ADrive has also integrated the Zoho Document Editor so that you can edit files online. This is probably a nod to Box.net and some of the other services that have intelligently reached out to web-based applications people can use in conjunction with the files they store online. Among other offerings, ADrive is also offering remote file transfer features and a desktop backup client. Like local backup software that you may use, you can schedule automated, regular backups with the client. Especially if you collaborate with other web workers online, ADrive’s $6.95 a month service is worth a look.

SOULJA BOY IN GAY SEX TAPE SCANDAL

S P O T T E D:
Controversy ahoy! Word on the web is that teen rap sensation Soulija Boy is not only gay, but he evidently has a gay sex tape.
Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) hit the headlines last year when his self published single “Crank That” reached number one in the Billboard Charts and spawned a dance craze world-wide.

More recently he has been accused by fellow rappers (including Ice T) of “killing Hip-hop”.
The internet is alight with the rumour of the alleged sex-tape, which some claim are a fabrication and part of an 'online hate' campaign designed to destroy the rapper's career. Soulja Boy's publicist has yet to respond.
What do you think? Are these really photos from Soulja Boy's porn tape or merely a Photoshopped gag?

Click here to see the pictures, but be warned, they are very graphic!

Looks like SB likes to get his Supersoaked also... his pole that is... until next time.. dream a lil dream about me...

Your Penis Shall Reveal the Truth!

Whoever said that those straight men who are prejudiced against gay men are themselves secretly harboring gay feelings? They are technically correct as supported by a scientific study.

This interesting study about gay b@shers was quickly mentioned in the book that I am currently reading “Phantoms of the Brain: Probing the Mysteries of the Human Mind”, a brilliant book on experiments on neurology by V.S. Ramachandran.

In this study, the “straight gay b@shers” and the “straight men who didn’t have problems with gay men” were asked to watch a “Man to Man” Pornography. And the result? The gay b@shers significantly have bigger erections than the straight men who are not prejudiced.

If you’re curious how erections were measured, they used a device called penile plethysmograph, which measures changes in the circumference of the penis.

I’m thinking, what could this study actually imply?

First, since penile erection could both be a conscious or unconscious effort, it is possible that the formation of prejudice against gay men could simply be an unconscious effort -- meaning even before the “gay feelings” among “gay b@shers” could be acknowledged, these “gay feelings” could have been repressed at an unconscious level therefore, their prejudice isn’t something that they have created with full awareness.

Two gay men like me, should learn to understand the straight who overtly hate us just because we are gay. We need to create a friendly and caring atmosphere with them so eventually, they could learn to accept their highly probable hidden “gay feelings”.

Don’t you just love the idea? The straight men who hate us gay men, are essentially gay men themselves. They just need a little support, understanding and a lot of love.

I'm one of the b@shers back in the days...this is soo true...lol...

xoxo,
Jass

Take the Junk Left Over after Installing Vista SP 1

If you upgraded to Vista Service Pack 1 when it went live earlier this week, Windows left behind several files system files from your pre-SP1 install that aren't being used any longer. The files are left taking up space on your drive so that you can roll back SP1 if you wanted to, but since you're unlikely to grow sick of all those improvements, weblog Digital Inspiration details how to remove the unneeded junk files and free up space on your hard drive.

There are no manual steps involved. Just open your Windows command prompt and type vsp1cln.exe (short for Vista SP1 Cleaner). It takes less than a minute to execute.
Just remember, once you execute the SP1 cleaner, you won't be able to roll back, so make sure you're happy with SP1 before you start freeing up space.

Yoooo Joeeeee!!!

Say hello to Snake Eyes — just don't expect him to say anything back.

This is the first character reveal from next August's G.I. Joe movie — the mute, faceless, black-clad ninja commando, among the most famous of the good guys from the 1980s incarnation of the decades-old Hasbro toy line.

Just as Paramount breathed new life into the Transformers franchise last summer, the studio is hoping to do the same to this sci-fi soldier series about a team of military experts battling the villainous Cobra organization.

G.I. Joe refers to the team, not any one person, and Snake Eyes is its mysterious lone wolf. In the movie, shooting now and set for August 2009, this fearsome figure is played by Ray Park (Darth Maul in the first Star Wars prequel).

"He's the world's greatest ninja, but he's also next-generation. He's not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he's pulling out his Glock," says director Stephen Sommers (The Mummy and Van Helsing). "His chief nemesis is arguably the world's other great ninja, Storm Shadow. The two grew up together, were blood brothers and now are mortal enemies."

Channing Tatum (Step Up) plays all-American team leader Duke. Rachel Nichols (Alias) plays the crossbow-wielding Scarlett, Marlon Wayans is paratrooper Ripcord and Dennis Quaid is the commander, Hawk. On the evil-doer side, Sienna Miller plays the raven-haired Baroness, Christopher Eccleston is Destro, the arms dealer who hides behind a silver mask, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock From the Sun, Brick) plays multiple roles, including the Cobra Commander.
Thanks to Anthony Breznican, USA TODAY and read the rest !!!

Whatever Jassel: New Videos and Music to watch out for...

R&B singer Ashanti is still working on her upcoming album "The Declaration", scheduled for an April 28 release.

The official first single from it, "The Way I Love You" was produced by L.T. Hutton. With a piano-laced beat that could make Alicia Keys shed a tear, Ashanti does away with the club production and aims for higher ground. Check it out

New Videos and Music to watch out for...

Mariah Carey is back with a sweet, sexy tune that plays down the melismatic drama of many of her past hits.

"Touch My Body" is simple, sexy elegance from one of the most enduring of pop stars. Mariah Carey has mastered that most difficult of feats in the pop world - aging gracefully.

Lryically, "Touch My Body" is overtly sexy without being dirty and clever in its warning to keep the song's tryst off YouTube.

Mariah Carey wrote and produced the song with C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream - and worked with other major producers on the full album due to be released April 15.

Chillin at Jacky and KT's place to watch some good ole football and of course... grub time... I'm there...plus i can catch up on some blogs...

Rith and KT making a Transformer

Oh KT...no comment...
I did a blog on Ms. A-Dunn and guess what peeps, she actually replied back... like really did, email, work, celly and all. I was shock to even hear from her... here's the email she sent:
Jass,
Yes, I am Pinay...and I am the only Pinay News Anchor (there are only
two Pinay reporters here in Seattle)
I do appreciate your kind comments...
I was just doing what it is I do. I would have given any person I'm
interviewing the same treatment.
I'm really glad you took the time to write.
Take care!

Maria Arcega-Dunn

I couldn't wait to update my blog on her, so i rushed home after work as quickly as i can, all excited when i opened my door and WTF.........today was the last day of our contract with Comcast....arghhhhhhhhhh, omg!!! I didn't know what to do, once in a while i would click on the internet icon and see if i can get a glimpse of the WWW but not luck at all...sigh... In order for me not to loose my sanity, my creativity side kicked in. I decided to play with PhotoSuite, and by the time you know it, a layer of a black background, a layer of the this and that and bamm... I started giving the Filipino flag a make over...so far soo good, I was actually impress with some of them, thanks to trial and error. I would like to post but my homegirl Kat was like I better not post them, someone might want to buy the copywrites for them and use it for their logo or something...you know how those right-click, save as monsters (guilty) are, I don't want my picture in some organization and not get props for it... so when i find a way to add them to my blogs without enabling the right-click monsters to grab them, you guys have to wait...or if anyone out there know how it's done (it can be done, because I've tried to right-click some pics and it won't let me) and show me then holler...

Pinoy Movie Time!!!

Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Basha (Bea Alonzo) have been together forever.

Their love story started when they met as students in a university. Popoy was taking up Engineering while Basha was a freshman in Architecture. They have been inseparable ever since—they did everything together: eating, studying and/or attending parties. Their families loved them, they shared friends, they eventually worked in the same firm and their life plans revolved around each other.

There is no Popoy without a Basha and vice versa. In short, they are certain that they would get married someday and build a home together literally and figuratively. Architect Basha will design and plan their dream house while Engineer Popoy will be the one to build it. Everything is perfect.

At least that is what Popoy thinks.

But all the planning and dreaming eventually take a toll on Basha. Tired of trying to carve her own mark in the firm where they are both working, she suddenly tells him that she wants to resign and move to a smaller firm where she can be given a bigger chance to design on her own. Popoy is alarmed by Basha's sudden decision. Basha tells him the problem that has been brewing inside her for the past year, the real reason why she wants to leave their company & she is tired of Popoy and their relationship. She feels that Popoy is all over her and that she hasn't been given the opportunity to decide and plan for herself because Popoy already did everything. Popoy is speechless. Inside, he is devastated. That same night, Basha asks for a breakup. She tells him she needs the space to grow on her own.

Not knowing how to pick himself up after the love of his life leaves him, Popoy struggles to live his new life alone. Meanwhile, Basha resigns and transfers to a smaller firm where she begins to feel the freedom she's been longing for. Popoy and Basha try to live without each other but the ties that bind them make it harder for both to move on. Their families and friends became constant reminders of the promises and dreams they had during their happier days.

Slowly, Popoy learns to pick up the pieces and discovers a life that he can call his own. But Basha's journey proves to be more difficult, especially when she sees Popoy starting to date other girls. A part of her wants to get him back but a part also knows that she was the one who asked for this.

Opportunity knocks when Popoy's aunt commissions them to build her house together. After feeling awkward around each other, Popoy and Basha eventually warm up. After all, five years of being together is hard to erase. Slowly and unconsciously, they fall into their old routines and find themselves enjoying each other's company once again. Both realize how much they've missed each other yet both also recognize how much they've changed.

But Popoy knows too well that giving in would mean going back to how they were before. And he's way too scared to get in the way of Basha's growth once again, especially now that he has seen that she can do it alone.

What the...

Smokers...

For all you frugal smokers out there (guilty) you know that smell when you smoke half of you cigarette and put it back in the box... you know that smell, well there's one way of eliminating that horrid stench (thanks to Mama Jen). HOW? after you extinguish that half ciggy make sure you blow out all the smoke before you put it back in the box case. I tried it and it does eliminate that smell, well not all but much much better. So thanks Mama Jen for the tip, try it and see if you notice anything.

What's in cigarette smoke?
There are more than 4000 chemicals in tobacco smoke. Many of these chemicals are poisonous and at least 43 of them are carcinogenic (cause cancer). The three major chemicals in tobacco smoke are:

  • Nicotine—the chemical on which smokers become dependent
  • Tar—which is released when a cigarette burns
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)—a colourless, odourless and very toxic gas that is taken up more readily by the lungs than oxygen. Smokers typically have high levels of CO in the blood.

Filipinos & KKK, How are they connected?

Katipunan Flag

The first time I went back home in the Philippines was 1998 and wouldn't you know it, Philippines was getting ready to celebrate their 100th year of independence. Unfortunately, I left before the big celebration on June 28. All the malls, street vendors, schools and everything else were selling either memorabilia, shirts, flags, toys, etc...

Excited to grab some shirts and represent, Pido Shirts were the most popular, it was packaged all nice with a commemorative tin can with a little bit of history in it but I was disturbed from what I saw, a lot of them had the markings of KKK on the flag, as for me growing up as a Filipino-American, KKK was a NO, NO, NO... we were thought in schools, movies, t.v. shows how the KKK's are not the typical "friends" to hang with. So as a kid, I really didn't care to look into it, all I knew was look for a nice shirt without those letters in it. Found a few and even got some from relatives. Not until I came back to the states is when I asked what the deal was with the KKK letters on the flag. My parents and aunts told me about the "Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangan Na Katipunan ng Mga Anak Ng Bayan"(until this day, I have to say it slow)translated to Highest and Most Respectable Society of the Sons of the People," so KKK, get it, like LOL=Lots of Laugh, TTYL= Talk to you later, mmmkkk.

That's one way to clear things up but there's soo much more about the history of Philippine movement of the KKK along with the other flags from that era plus the meaning of the flags. The one showing is the first flag of the movement, The flag's red field symbolized blood, as members of the Katipunan signed their membership papers in their own blood.

This is the design for the 100th celebration.

Which do you fancy, Original or Re-make?

Here's another re-make of a movie coming out Feb 1 nationwide called, The Eye, starring Jessica Alba (settle down boys) and Parker Posey, directed by David Moreau. I've seen a lot of movies re-made, some good, some you just don't mess with and keep it "as is"...

Ok, for those who never heard or never knew about the movie until now (based on the original, Gin gwai), it's about a girl who's been blind since childhood and wishes to see (wouldn't anyone want that also?) Well, Ms. Thang got her wish and got a downer, blah, blah, blah, surgery, ok, and wow, a miracle I can see... but here's the other thing, she see's things ala Sixth Sense, that no one else can, spirits. She thought it was in her mind and it takes time to adjust but later she sees more and more spirits and starts freaking out. She tried to tell people of these weird things she's seeing and of course to make the movie more interesting and longer, no one believes her. The doctor then finally learns about the downer who donated the eye and what happened to her and whoever possesses them will have the same destiny as she did... what a bee-yotch huh, hating ass. I hope this new one will do it justice or at least something to talk about and not just see it because of Ms. J. Alba. We'll just wait and see how it goes, right!

???Which one will you fancy too...???
Will it be the original Gin gwai (The Eye, asian version)
or
the re-make The Eye

The best "TWO WORDS" in the world...

A Melody of Love
Lea Salonga & Robert Chien
January 10, 2004
Los Angeles, CA

From the day they met, a shared passion for music and song lead to the romance and marriage of Lea Salonga and Robert Chien. The two were introduced by Robert’s cousin, Christine, who Lea was performing with in “Flower Drum Song” at the Mark Taper Forum. After meeting a couple of more times, Lea and Robert finally got to know each other better and when their first official date included singing along to the car radio, it seems that romance was set in motion. Robert asked for Lea’s hand in marriage in July of 2002, with a proposal straight from a movie scene, complete with candlelight, flower petals, twinkling lights and even a pillow for Robert to kneel on...

iPhone, iPod Touch Firmware Update, Adds Faux-GPS, Multi-SMS, and More

Steve Jobs' Macworld keynote was today, and among a bevy of new hardware announcements, Apple has pushed out two verysignificant updates for iPhone and iPod touch users. Apple has added multi-recipient SMS (iPhone-only), faux-GPS on Google Maps using cell tower triangulation, Web Clips (i.e., bookmarks of web sites on your home screen), and home screen icon customization via drag and drop. iPod touch users can now get the Mail, Maps, Stocks, Notes, and Weather apps that came standard on the iPhone for a $20 upgrade (these features will come standard in new iPod touches). Hit the jump for a closer look at the new and improved features.

Faux-GPS in Google Maps

The faux-GPS feature works with both your cell signal or with Wi-Fi hot spots, which means that it will work for both iPhone and iPod touch. Of course, the accuracy and availability of this feature will vary depending on your location. Google Maps has also added the hybrid view you're likely familiar with from Google Maps on the web.

Web Clips for Bookmark on the Home Screen

Also available on both the iPhone and iPod touch is the Web Clips feature, which creates icons on your home screen to launch Safari directly to your bookmark. You can create Web Clips of any site, and the home screen icon will grab a screenshot of what's visible in Safari when you create the Web Clip

Home Screen Customization via Drag and Drop

Now that you've got all these new icons on your home screen, you're probably going to want to manage and customize their layout, right? Apple thinks so, which is why they've also added home screen customization to this update. It works like this: Just tap and hold any app on the home screen. After a second, your home screen will go all Jell-O-like, with the application and Web Clip icons jiggling back and forth. Now you can simply drag and drop any icon on the home screen to any new location (including the dock) or to a new page altogether. You can also remove Web Clips by tapping the 'X' button in the corner of the icon. When you're finished rearranging apps, tap the home button to save your changes.

Multi-Recipient SMS

Multi-recipient SMS has long been supported by cell phones, so Apple's just catching up on this one. On the plus side, the multi-SMS is made to work well with the iPhone's conversation-focused SMS app, so conversations with multiple recipients should still be managed through a unified interface.

And More...

Gmail IMAP is now part of the default setup for the iPhone's Mail app, so you don't have to go through any nitty-gritty details setting up your Gmail IMAP account—you can just give your iPhone or iTouch your Gmail username and password and IMAP should be ready to go. iTunes is now doing movie rentals, which, obviously, can be synced to your iPhone/iPod touch. The iPod app will now support music lyrics; though I've yet to see this in action (the firmware update still isn't available as of this writing).

The Ultimate in Unfair

War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left.
– Bertrand Russell (1872-1970), English philosopher, author, 1950 Nobel Prize-winner in Literature

This photograph showing a starving Sudanese child being stalked by a vulture won Kevin Carter the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for feature photography.

Photographer Haunted by Horror of His Work

Obituary: Kevin Carter 1960 - 1994
Johannesburg - Kevin Carter, the South African photographer whose image of a starving Sudanese toddler stalked by a vulture won him a Pulitzer Prize this year, was found dead on Wednesday night, apparently a suicide, police said yesterday. He was 33. The police said Mr Carter's body and several letters to friends and family were discovered in his pick-up truck, parked in a Johannesburg suburb. An inquest showed that he had died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Mr Carter started as a sports photographer in 1983 but soon moved to the front lines of South African political strife, recording images of repression, anti-apartheid protest and fratricidal violence. A few davs after winning his Pulitzer Prize in April, Mr Carter was nearby when one of his closest friends and professional companions, Ken Oosterbroek, was shot dead photographing a gun battle in Tokoza township.

Friends said Mr Carter was a man of tumultuous emotions which brought passion to his work but also drove him to extremes of elation and depression. Last year, saying he needed a break from South Africa's turmoil, he paid his own way to the southern Sudan to photograph a civil war and famine that he felt the world was overlooking.

His picture of an emaciated girl collapsing on the way to a feeding centre, as a plump vulture lurked in the background, was published first in The New York Times and The Mail & Guardian, a Johannesburg weekly. The reaction to the picture was so strong that The New York Times published an unusual editor's note on the fate of the girl. Mr Carter said she resumed her trek to the feeding centre. He chased away the vulture.

Afterwards, he told an interviewer, he sat under a tree for a long time, "smoking cigarettes and crying". His father, Mr Jimmy Carter laid last night: "Kevin always carried around the horror of the work he did." - The New York Times
